The 15 best bars with live music in Chattanooga (2024)

The Westin Chattanooga is a luxury hotel located in downtown Chattanooga, Tennessee. It offers a co*cktail lounge, an outdoor pool and a restaurant. The hotel also has a gym and a lobby bar. The Westin Chattanooga is one of the best luxury hotels in the city's downtown core.

On a recent road trip we spent one night at the Westin in Chattanooga. I was pleased with the great price for the luxury hotel. The building, entrance, the bar and restaurants, and the room all exceeded my expectations. And I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels! There are several places close by to eat or drink. It you can eat in the hotel. The restaurant’s are a bit pricey but nice atmosphere. The taco place 423 Taco was good with kids.I suggest asking for a corner room with view. Stunning! FYI keep the curtains closed while sleeping during the winter to keep the room warmer. And also were the views. Tennessee skies are incredible.

Very nice hotel in the heart of Chattanooga. Valet parking with in and out privileges. This hotel doesn’t have a club lounge, but the restaurant serves a nice full breakfast from classics like blueberry pancakes to southern specialties like grits with cheddar cheese. There is also a well stocked market place for grab and go sandwiches, Pete’s coffee, scones and cupcakes. Both the cranberry orange and chocolate chips scones are delicious.

We love going to the Westin in Chattanooga! We’ve stayed here several times on adventures here in Chattanooga and as we have traveled other places. It’s so clean and the amenities are top notch. The staff is always great and Thomas our latest staff helper was superb, friendly, kind and knowledgeable. They usually have a fun car in the lobby and my son always love looking at the newest feature.A great place to stay when you are in the area! We will be back for years to come.

Cannot say enough good things about this hotel! The staff was awesome!! We brought our pup for 4 nights to go do some hiking. Birdie was in love. Every time we walked into the lobby a staff member gave a her a treat and some pets! The dog area behind the hotel was quite large, wish it was fenced in, but other than that, more than adequate. Sunny at the front desk and the night security lady were always smiling and super sweet to us. Shout out to the valet guys, we lost our ticket multiple times and they told us no worries every single time. Location was great, convenient to the highway to get out to the hikes and within 10 minutes drive of all the restaurants we wanted to go to at night. Hotel bar had live music Friday and Saturday night, hung there one night as well. Rooms were clean and spacious. Also, never had to wait for an elevator. Will definitely be back!

Rooms were spacious and the hotel is very nice in appearance and location is great. I LOVED the shower. Bartenders at the lobby bar were friendly. Valet was always ready to assist and there was always enough of them on shift to where you didn't have to wait long. The drive could probably be handled better during peak times but overall good job. My only downside was the pillows being way too soft and not offering much for neck support.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Amazing service, amazing rooms, and amazing food and drinks. (Also, I absolutely love that it’s dog-friendly!) My husband and I only stayed a night as we were on our way to our honeymoon, but we will definitely be back.(Also… I don’t remember how to spell their names, but Sunni at the front desk and Prishka at the breakfast place were so nice!)

After many years of commuting between Illinois and Florida with dogs, we have stayed at innumerable hotels. None has come close to the Westin Chattanooga. It is our one and only go-to hotel. Upon arrival, you are made to feel like a valued guest and, after only one visit, like family. (And that includes the dogs.) Sunny, the front office supervisor, greets you like a dear friend and pays attention to every detail. On our first visit, we arrived late at night, and Sunny (whose name fits him perfectly) went out of his way to ensure that we received room service before we went to sleep. He even delivered it himself! Likewise, Thomas, the guest relations supervisor, took great measures to ensure that our experience was perfect from check in to check out. The rooms are comfortable and elegant, laid out beautifully, and always immaculate. The food is exceptional. And the grounds are lovely and the hotel well situated. I can't say enough good things about The Westin Chattanooga, its staff, its service, and its quality.

Deborah C — Google review

Guest services was absolutely amazing! The professionalism of everyone at this hotel makes every customer feel like a VIP. Helpful but not pushy with things like bringing bags to and from the room, as well as valet and room service. Add that we can bring our dog with us, and it’s going to be our go-to whenever we’re staying in Chattanooga in the future! Only thing that was somewhat annoying is that our shower curtain was installed too high, and as a result the water sprayed all over the bathroom floor.

Clean, updated rooms with very friendly staff. Within walking distance of a few dining choices. I was part of a conference group and the lunch was excellent. Some of the best hotel provided conference meals I have ever had (and I have had many!). Would definitely stay again when I am in the area.

"Real" Rating: 4.5Great interior decoration and ambiance. The room was clean, and the bed was comfy.Would have been awesome if a buffet breakfast was available.Overall, one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Chatty.

We visited Westin in Chatt. this past weekend. We spent time at a nearby hotel and one night here to experience the luxury feel everyone spoke highly of in the reviews. Upon arriving I called to ask pricing specifics. I was told parking was $17. When in arrived the choices were valet parking, street parking or a nearby garage. We ended up paying $20 for parking next to the hotel in a lot. This wasn’t an issue since it was in reasonable walking distance. The front desk agents were nice. The room was spacious but not of the quality I expected. The view was average of the buildings and not the city view I chose. No microwave to reheat our dinner and very small fridge. We went to the pool on the second floor which was the best part of the hotel. There were a few people in and out but most of the time we had the area to ourselves. It was very relaxing until we arrived back to our room around 10pm to find the water was turned off. I called down to alert the front desk and was told the city had shut off the water due to a water main break. The eta for the fix was midnight but didn’t resolve until after 4am. I left the water on so I’ll know when I could shower off the pool chlorine that I was forced to sleep with. I was compensated for the inconvenience but that really ruined our trip and evening plans of showering and mud masks. The shower was amazing when we could use it. Unfortunately, we decided to end our trip and returned home to Ga instead of finishing out the week. Lack of water was a super buzz kill. We probably wouldn’t stay here again.

I was at The Westin Chattanooga for a one-day conference and truly fell in love with the hotel and have added it to my list to return and get the full experience.Walking into The Westin Chattanooga the staff were at the desk with smiling faces. The welcome was pleasant and set the tone for the experience. As I walked deeper into the main floor I was taken by the ambiance of the decor. The feel puts you in the mindset of an oasis. Tropical and visually enchanting. The bar and eating area play off of the oasis vibe and present an almost tranquil atmosphere for unwinding, meeting, or just grabbing a drink. The meeting space is gorgeous. It has a historic feel to it with rustic undertones. The space is perfect for any occasion as it is a gorgeous canvas that you can play with to your desire… The leaders of the conference I attended chose a classic conference theme of just tables and chairs, however, even with just the basic setup, the rustic tone is so beautiful that it enhanced the overall tone of the room… The service staff was amazing as well. They were able to be in and out of the room to refresh the food and change out meals without interrupting the presentation. My time at The Westin Chattanooga was amazing. Though it was short. The staff, ambiance, and beautiful square in which it sits has me already planning my return.

Loved staying here last week. Was very convenient to many locations. Room was great. Bed was comfortable and shower was wonderful. Absolutely loved the heated outdoor pool as it was so nice to take a dip on a cool sunny day. Chattanooga itself is very walkable and bike friendly too so it was a great place to enjoy the outdoors.

From the moment I stepped into The Westin Chattanooga, I was greeted with a warmth that felt like coming home. A special shout-out to Sunny at the front desk – his exceptional service truly sets the bar high. Not only did he ensure a seamless check-in experience, but his local tips and willingness to go the extra mile made my stay unforgettable. The rooms? Immaculate. It’s evident that the housekeeping team takes pride in their work, providing a spotless and inviting environment to unwind after a day of exploring the city. As someone who has frequented Marriott properties in Chattanooga for years, I can confidently say that The Westin Chattanooga stands out as the pinnacle of hospitality in the area. The service is simply top-notch. Every staff member I encountered was attentive and genuinely cared about making my stay as comfortable as possible. It’s this level of service that transforms a good hotel into a great one.In conclusion, if you’re looking for a hotel that offers pristine rooms, exceptional service, and a staff that treats you like family, look no further than The Westin Chattanooga. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

I stayed there with my daughter and grandchildren. We checked out and went to breakfast. I realized I had left my diamond hoop earrings on the bedside table.I immediately called the hotel we were only 3 minutes from the hotel. They said come back and you can get them the room had not been cleaned. We immediately went back I spoke to management they walked me up room was it was cleaned. No earrings they spoke to maid and said she didn't find them. That was it no other checking. I ALWAYS place my earrings in the exact same spot on bedside table. I know for a FACT they were there. I saw them while I was getting dressed. The maid stole my earring.. They didn't seem to care.

Really enjoyed this hotel. Everyone was kind and welcoming. I was able to bring my precious doggie and he was able to sleep with me and everyone loved dogs! A hotel that loves dogs is something special. There is a bar downstairs where you can get drinks food etc most day and night. The room was quiet not too noisy and there were a lot of guests! I will stay again....

We enjoyed this hotel. Traveling with a dog isn't easy. However Westin has a fenced in green space for dogs to run and do their business. The pool is off the ground on the 2nd level giving a nice level of privacy. Live music in the bar seating area offered a relaxing atmosphere. We enjoyed the bike rentals and valet parking. Our room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The four elevators are quick, with rarely any wait.

We stayed here for my son’s wedding. This has been the best experience under joyful and stressful conditions. I was always greeted by my name. If I needed more towels they came. If I needed anything someone was always available for me. We were there for 5 nights so I had a pretty good feel for how this hotel was run. Amazing!!!! The rooftop bar had a beautiful view of Lookout mountain. I could walk safely to the aquarium and back by myself! I’m picky so 5 stars says quite a bit for me! 👍

Can't say enough good things about this hotel! Location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants, shopping and night life. Rooms are spacious and ALWAYS clean. We have a branch in Chattanooga so we stay here often for business. Sunny at the front desk, ALWAYS takes care of us, and treats us literally like family!! The Bartender upstairs, remembers us, and brings our drink of choice without even asking! Valet is super helpful and friendly. We will definitely continue to stay here, when our travel brings us to town! Great Job Westin Team!

The stay was wonderful. Even being right on the interstate the road noise was minimal. Dining at the hotel was perfect as we didn't want to leave. Used room service and valet parking and all staff was quick and helpful. Would gladly stay again.

Just stayed in room 1029 for 5 days and everything was great. Beautiful room, super clean, staff was great, but being a person that has set tile in the past knows that the tile in shower needs some attention. Specifically the top cap is coming loose from the tile curb. Also the shower door screws have come loose on the hinges of the shower door. Lastly please have some one scoot the toilet paper holder closer to the toilet pretty far away.

The staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful. The bathroom door in our room was a slider with frosted glass so when you went into the bathroom at night the whole room lit up. The curtains were so heavy and thick, hard to open. The bed was comfy, the duvet was on the heavy side. The location was great, near tasty restaurants and other activities.

This hotel was great! Nice rooms, comfortable bed, really nice shower. It has a rooftop restaurant and a downstairs bar. There’s also a market for small things and it’s right across the street from several good restaurants. We had a good view of the pool too! Would totally stay here again!

I was checked in by a welcoming staff member, Sunny. He was very pleasant & helpful during my check in process. The room was immaculate & hotel was very clean. The rooftop bar served very tasty small plates & drinks. Breakfast was healthy & when it's warmer I look forward to using the pool! Loved the mountain view. Thanks for the comfortable stay!

We had a great couple of days away after Christmas. Everyone working at the hotel was helpful and gracious, beginning with the guys at valet parking, through check-in, including the bar/restaurant staff. We got a corner room with 2 walls of floor to ceiling windows. Unfortunately, the drapes were so big, you couldn't pull them back all the way to take advantage of all of the glass. Plus, one of the shear drapes was torn at the top. Not a big deal, just something they might want to redesign. Room was clean, bed was comfy, and there was plenty of space. A surprisingly family-friendly hotel as we saw lots of guests with kids. Looks like a good spot for family reunions. Way too cold to hit the pool, but we did check it out and it looked great. Would be a fun spot to chill out for a few days in the warmer weather. Some very good restaurant options in the immediate area, plus it's only a 15 minute walk to the aquarium area by the river. We were very pleased with our stay.

As much time as I spend at the Westin Chattanooga, it definitely feels like my home away from home. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Sunny at the front desk always has a smile on his face and a warm greeting when I walk in the door. He's the best of the front desk staff. Then there's the rooms, I am very particular about the hotels I stay in as I used to be in hospitality management and The Westin is always up to my high standards. I've been staying at this hotel for over 5 years and never once have I checked in to a dirty room. The cleaning staff does a wonderful job. There is also Jillian at the downstairs bar and Adam at the Paloma, the drinks they make are on another level. They have a real talent. Its also extremely impreasive that when I first started coming here, before anyone knew me, they were able to remember my drink order after one night and only coming back a couple weeks later. They are also so nice and welcoming. It's because of this staff that it makes it a little easier to be away from home 50% of the year. The Westin Chattanooga is Always my preferred hotel in all of Chattanooga. Thank you to all you guys do, and keep up the great work.

Attended a graduation here. Beautiful lobby very friendly staff. High traffic area with several events happening at the same time. Staff was very accommodating as we had to drop off a member of our family at the door due to health and they assisted us and kept traffic flowing all at once.

Excellent service with a smile from beginning to end. Especially clean rooms. Fabulous drinks and food at the restaurant. Saturday night live music was a treat.I wasn't too keen on hearing neighbors conversations and their doors opening and slamming closed all hours of the morning and night. We had a great coroner room overlooking the pool and the city center. Quick walk to local restaurants if you want to get out. Only true problem we had, and in my opinion, it was out of The Westin's control, we were going to walk around town, as soon as we walked out the door, we were met by a homeless person asking for money for food. We witnessed this person confront several people entering and leaving the hotel. We should have alerted security or management right then but we were trying to enjoy our night. Just beware and watch your surroundings everywhere you go!

The Westin in Chattanooga exceeds all expectations. The rooms are spacious and clean, the lobby is welcoming and the staff goes above and beyond. I travel for work on a weekly basis and this hotel is my favorite. It is my home away from home. Special recognition to Sonny, he always welcomes me with a smile and knows me by name. Thank you for the hospitality and positivity.

Stayed here for a work event. The room was amazing!! We had a gorgeous view of downtown Chattanooga. The service was excellent. Front desk helped find us the best room possible; valet took great care of our vehicles. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but did have some coffee and continental items at the coffee shop which were all great as well. It was a great stay at a beautiful hotel. Would highly recommend.
